Paurosa Nature Conservancy is home to a variety of fauna and flora. Our purpose is to establish an environment in harmony with the true character of African nature. Strict guidelines help protect this unique character and the landscapes that make it special.
Mountains, cliffs, gorges, plains, rivers, waterfalls and natural springs form the conservancy’s scenery. The Kruis River, which runs through Paurosa, supports the lush surroundings and the wildlife that calls them home.
Explore these beautiful places with loved ones. Enjoy the quiet, the changing light and the freedom to reconnect with the natural world.

A place to reconnect
with African nature.
Paurosa brings together a nature conservancy and a private, exclusive game lodge. Its identity is rooted in a simple idea: an environment in harmony with the real character of African nature.
The camp lies in a valley overlooking a dam and mountains. Around it, the conservancy is home to varied fauna and flora, with more than 2,000 game animals and scenery that changes from open plains to cliffs, gorges and river landscapes.
A family weekend, a patient observation session and a photography visit offer different ways to enjoy the same place. Four custom concrete hides provide another perspective on wildlife, with waterproof construction, full camouflage and discreet, ergonomic design.
Paurosa is situated in a malaria-free area with a typical subtropical climate. Summer rainfall brings its own character to the landscape, while moderate winter days and cooler evenings invite a different rhythm.
The experience is personal. Speak to Sam Mia about your dates, group and interests, and shape a visit around time together, nature and the beauty of the conservancy.

A self-catering lodge, dam views and mountain scenery. Give your South African holiday a little more time to breathe.
