Paurosa accepts enquiries about plains and trophy game hunting. Start with the species and dates you have in mind, then discuss availability, measurements, prices and arrangements with Sam Mia.
The published 2026 hunting season runs from 1 May to 31 August. Confirm future season dates directly with the lodge. The rate sheet lists hunting times as 07:00–11:00 and 14:00–17:00, with no night hunting.
Four custom concrete hides offer a waterproof, fully camouflaged, ergonomic and discreet setup. They are strategically placed for viewing and hunting opportunities, with hide allocation confirmed for your visit.
The 2026 rate sheet separates standard and trophy prices for many species. Some trophy rates are linked to stated measurements; klipspringer is price on application, and the kudu trophy line needs confirmation when requesting a final quote.
Game charges are separate from accommodation and vehicle hire. Read the published additional charges and booking conditions so you can discuss the complete visit with the lodge.

Game and recovery charges
The rate sheet states that injured game is charged at the full applicable rate and the PH or tracker’s decision on shots is final. Recoveries after 17:00 attract an additional R250 per hour. Lodge vehicle recovery while using your own hunting vehicle is listed at R500 per recovery.
Vehicle and preparation costs
Vehicle hire is R1,750 for a full day or R1,000 for a half day. Skinning is listed at R150 for a small animal and R250 for a large animal. A rifle may be available on request, subject to the lodge’s terms.
Stay and booking
All bookings require at least two nights. An accommodation deposit confirms a booking, and the lodge’s hunting terms apply. The rate sheet requires indemnity forms to be signed before hunting and all bills to be settled before departure.
